Newly opened in 2008, the Port Ghalib resort complex occupies a stretch of prime Red Sea coast. The resort has its own marina and fleet of boats for diving excursions in the coral reefs a short distance offshore. The resort is built around a huge man made lagoon. There are several swimming pools, restaurants and bars catering to all tastes and horse and camel riding is available on the beach. The private beach runs down to the edge of the coral and a walkway takes you out to swim among the colourful marine life.
