If you decide to stay in Berat and want genuine Albanian hospitality, don't choose an accommodation within the castle walls or in the Old Town. Stay in a local neighbourhood. Stay away from the tourists. Stay here. The apartment was large and cool (given that the temperatures outside were hitting 40 degrees C). We had everything we needed.
