"Pros: good location, easy walk to train station and about 15 mins walk from the main plaza and pedestrian thoroughfare. in a more local part of town away from most of the hotels and touristy restaurants. i had the large room with a great wrap around patio at the corner of the intersection. there are speed bumps in the neighborhood so people aren't driving fast. fridge and hotplate in the room. great to pull out a few chairs on to the balcony and watch life below. Gyumri seems very windy, so no need for a fan or air conditioner to keep the room comfortable. very friendly and helpful young family. An easy place and very inexpensive place to eat is called "Food Time" just a few minutes walk towards the centre. It's got English and photo menu's with Armenian and International options. The chicken + mushroom risotto is great! Cons: next door is a chimney with lots of smoke coming out of it. on day and time of day, but unpleasant on balcony/leaving windows open as it can get smokey. wasn't a big deal to close the window for a couple hours." ~G
