"Pros: B&B Le Coquin is pleasantly situated along the quiet canal Brugge-Damme where tourists can enjoy walking, running, cycling or taking the leasure boat ‘De Lamme Goedzak’ to absorbe the green, peaceful surroundings of the Flemish ‘polders’. The B&B is just outside the city centre of Bruges and a pleasant 20 minutes walk along the Bruges canals takes you to the old centre with Belfort and historic buildings attracting tourists from all over the world. The B&B owner Alain really puts his heart and soul in his personalized home, welcoming his guests with his genuine smile, offering cosy bedrooms - we chose the family room with terrace overlooking his garden with blossoming cherry tree - and above all offering a delicious breakfast. We stayed for one week and a few times Alain served light blue boiled eggs which we thought were coloured Easter eggs but in fact they were natural eggs from his own Araucana hens - wonderful! Alain has a welcome sign that says: ‘We travel to come home’, well, that says it all: we felt at home in Alain’s B&B, it was the second time we stayed there and will definitely return.
