"Cons: The title says luxury but this listing is anything but. I strongly suggest you steer clear of this listing and any of the other listings at the same address. First off, the listing is hugely misleading for 3 reasons: 1) does not mention that the apartment is located right next to a very active bar that plays loud music until 2-3am and all can be heard in the apartment 2) it lists the room as nonsmoking but the room and furniture reeked of smoke 3) laundry is listed as a facility but there was no washing machine, and the toiletries were also extremely minimal with only cheap shower gel provided There are countless issues with this place. The worst is the location. It is right next to a bar that is supposed to close at midnight but plays extremely loud music until 2-3am and all can be heard in the apartment. We even had the apartment that is the farthest from the bar but we still felt like we were inside the bar. I find it crazy that the hosts are not making this clear in the listing and adjusting the price to match this incredible inconvenience. We stayed for 4 nights around New Years so perhaps the noise was even worse during this time but be aware that it may happen in general. Some of the other really annoying things: the whole floor smelled like sewage, and the bathroom did too; the wifi was very unstable and our devices would constantly disconnect; beware that the shower and toilet are in one room without any divider between them which is common in Bulgaria especially in older apartments, but it is inconvenient since showering makes the whole bathroom unusable. Already during our first night we considered leaving but there was no other available room in the city at such short notice so we were forced to stay there. Save yourself some short angry nights and money, and book literally any other place in Karlovo." ~Mariya
