"Pros: The proprietor is the very dictionary definition of above and beyond, and I don't think I have ever been so impressed with a host. When my taxi from the station didn't turn up he sourced one (with a driver who spoke faultless English) within 10 minutes, and when I found my phone didn't have network coverage in Melnik, he lent me his own for the day. And always smiley, patient and unfailingly helpful in spite of the language barrier. The room has everything necessary and is very clean, while the venerable old building with it's inner courtyard is quite special, particularly at this price point. I doubt there is a better stay to be had in Melnik." ~Edward
