"Pros: The room had plenty of space; great view from the balcony, the pool was nice, the breakfast was good enough; Customer Service did well;
Overall, the place is decent enough for me, and perhaps among the best value for money in the area.
Cons: 1. The place needs renovation - It was designed and built High Class some 20 years ago, but it hasn’t been touched ever since the days of the big fat Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) TV sets. It could easily move up the stack with a small investment in facility renovation.
The equipment is way past its end of life, and has been maintained at the bare minimum.
2. No WiFi coverage - 5G was good, if you have unlimited data plan like me, but if you don’t, you’re likely stuck at the Lobby for Internet access.
3. Transportation - no Bus, and no sidewalk along the road to the Taxi.
Taxi is the only option to Sozopol, if you don’t want to risk your life going by foot on an extremely dangerous road without sidewalk; poor visibility and a high number of victims being hit by cars every year.
Taxi is expensive - each round trip costs ~15 EUR (7.5 EUR one way). This is ~40% of the Hotel price. If you go with your car, Parking charges are about the same.
If you want to visit Sozopol, you can find a place downtown at 40% higher price." ~Iskren
