"Pros: What a beautiful apartment in Concepcion. The apartment was clean, modern and very well appointed. It was a great value for the money and the host's associate that met us was very kind and helpful. It had 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, and plenty of space for 2 (or three). We were only two and felt very comfortable. We were only there for one night, but it would be a great location for multiple nights. All of the appliances worked great and everything in the building was extremally modern. We used the laundry in the building, and the parking onsite was very safe and convenient. There is a Jumbo supermarket and a Starbucks within 5 minutes on foot., as well as a number of shops and restaurants. Cons: We had some challenges when we arrived as the people at reception did not know we were coming and did not know how to help us. While they were very kind, they spoke extremally fast Chilean Spanish even though we were clear that our Spanish was limited. We also had issues using cell data when we arrived (which meant we could not use our phone to make calls either), and had to request a wifi password from the reception desk to connect with our host to ensure that we could access the apartment. We ended up asking the reception to call the host, and luckily they were able to reach her. I recommend making sure you have all of the check in details before you arrive. Not having this information was my fault, as I assumed that the reception would have all of the details. Booking.com represents both hotels and private residences/apartments, so be sure to read the fine print and make sure you coordinate with the property before you arrive if you are not staying at a hotel. The host and property were very accommodating, so I take responsibility for the check in challenges and see it as a lesson learned. Also, having access to the laundry was great, but you must use and app, and the people at reception had a hard time explaining how to use it. Luckily, we can speak and read a sufficient amount of Spanish, so we were able to figure it out. If you do use the laundry services, be prepared to download the app and load it with money." ~Gretchen
