"Pros: We loved our stay at Edificio Guadalauquen. Everything was smooth from check in to check out. The property was communicative and helpful before we arrived because I had several questions about the check in process. They were always very prompt to reply and assured us that they could help us with anything we needed. When we checked in, everyone at the reception was very kind and helpful. They spoke to us in Spanish very slowly, as our Spanish is not great. This made it very easy to understand all of the details about the property. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The beds were also comfortable, and the facility is very clean. Because we arrived with a car, having parking on site was great. The location was close to everything we needed. There was even a great little Cerveceria across the street with surprisingly excellent food. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics, and we were able to make breakfast each morning and a simple dinner one of the nights of our stay. We were very pleased with our choice to stay at Edificio Guadalauquen, and would stay there again if we ever return to Valdivia. Cons: We don't have any complaints, but a couple of things to note. There is no elevator, which was fine for us, but it could be difficult for some people that have limited mobility and have to deal with carrying luggage up stairs (there are only 4 floors, so it was never an issue for us). We cooked dinner one of the nights of our stay, and the two pots available could not be used on the two burners at the same time because one of them was too large (there is only a two burner stove.) We had to get very creative, but we made it work. This is a very small detail, but worth noting for those that plan to eat in." ~Gretchen
