"Pros: This place is such a gem, I loved it so much. The settings are truly incredible - you are completely immersed in nature and can hear birdsong all the time, see colourful butterflies and surrounded jungle. I felt so at peace here in a way I can't quite put into words, its really magical. The owners have thought of all the little details that make a place special: reusable natural soap in little jars, flowers on the balcony, a natural pool to coo down, cosy places to sit with cushions and read your book/take a nap etc. The restaurant is also so nice, serving lots of healthy veggie and vegan food. I had a brilliant massage treatment and did lots of my own yoga practice in the shala - I also really reccomend to solo female travellers as I felt very safe and taken care of by the staff. Cons: Overall everything was great and I can't wait to visit again in the future, the only things I would suggest would be making the breakfast a bit bigger (it was just one egg and 1 bit of bread) and I also had issues with the WiFi throughout my stay. I actually usually wouldn't want/need WiFi when staying somewhere like this, but unfortunately I was working. If I was to go again, I'd make sure to be not working so I could soak up the surroundings fully and disconnect. The staff were super helpful and let me move rooms to a room with more stable connection" ~Melis

"Pros: Location next to the river was beautiful, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the flora and fauna around the hostel was amazing, it was a hidden gem tucked away from all the tourists. Its a shirt walk to the main road and as soon as you cross the road there is a moto taxi stand where you can catch a bike in Guachaca town. The buses also stop directly opposite the road that EcoHostal is down. Cons: If you don't like walking you won't like the 5 - 10 minute walk to the main road but otherwise this place is paradise." ~Nicholas

"Pros: A slice of paradise. Very nice family, the place is extremely clean, quiet and peaceful. Comfortable bed for a great nights sleep. Very close to Tayrona, easy to visit from here. My stay was excellent." ~Carrie

"Pros: Very nice hosts and staff and also really lovely dogs. Vicki prepares great meals for dinner and some days she and Toni play good electronic music at the bar, which is placed on a pirate ship. We loved the many great paintings and details like a canon on the ship. Besides, the kitchen was well equipped and clean and it was nice to have direct access to the river to cool down. We had a great time at the hostel, so that we extended our stay. Cons: The mattresses could be better and there could be a bit more light in the bathroom." ~Eva-maria
