"Pros: My girlfriend likes swimming in calm deep ocean water. The west side of San Andres has some of the best water I've ever seen for what she likes to do. The Sunset Hotel is perfectly situated for this. The staff is great, they really work hard to make your stay great. The breakfast isn't fancy but it's good. The place is very well maintained and the room while basic is comfortable. For the money and proximity to the ocean I think it would be very difficult to find a better place. We will most certainly be staying here again. The internet here was better than most places in the south side of the island. Cons: They have a solar heating system for the water, you have to time your showers and there really isn't hot water, sometimes it's warmer than others. To be fair cool to cold water showers are not uncommon in Colombia. The beds are a little small but not too small. These are minor issues though and as I stated in the positive comments I will be returning." ~James

"Pros: We loved our stay at La Casa de las flores tropicales, everything from the welcome from Amparo (the owner), the staff, the beautiful house and surroundings, the gorgeous pool and the gorgeous turquoise carribean sea view from our room was perfect!
