"Pros: There are only about 6 cabins so very private and the AC keeps them nice and cool. The pool is a great place to get chilled and we love the common space which provides shade in the heat of the day. Communication was prompt and respectful. An error in which cabins were assigned was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. The cabins are comfortable, spacious with some cooking abilities. This is the second time we were here so really love the place and Cubuya! We came with friends. A huge thank you to management and we hope to be back!! Cons: Cabins need a bit of TLC which would make them really sweet. (Coffee maker didn't work, pillows need replacing, chairs on deck could be better and each unit has different cooking items.) No hot water to wash dishes (this is quite common in Costa Rica). Drapes came down as the rods are not secured - we were able to get them back up. There is work being done on the roof on one of the units and the grinders started at 7:00 am. It is the cool of the day for work, but didn't allow for a bit of a sleep in. Power and wifi does go off but it didn't affect us much but noted. NOTE: Not a problem but if you are getting the ferry, it is well worth booking a reservation to ensure you get on. First time we did the reservation and it was easy. This year we couldn't but got there early enough that we made it on, others weren't as lucky." ~Janis

"Pros: Great host! There is a resident iguana that loves your left over fruit. One of the nicest facilities we could see. Easy access and pivot point to all of southern Costa Rica Pennisula. Cons: Dogs barking all night, and couple noisy crickets got into a room but we got them!! Bugs, beautiful birds, iguanas all apart of it." ~Shelly
