"Pros: The cabin is a cosy place on a off the woody lot easy to reach with a normal car. It has a well stocked kitchen (all utensils a little dated but perfectly functional), a dinner table big enough for 5-6 persons (we were 4) and a couch corner in front of a chimney which we put to good use (thankfully the owner readily provided us with wood). Upstairs there were two simple bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a slightly bigger one, both stocked with lots of blankets (you will need them because of the cold). We had a great time there, going on hikes and spending evenings in front of the open fire. The owner was really helpful and responsive! Cons: Only downside was the bathroom. Sorry, but that's why I can only give an 8. It was very small, shower had an electric shower head (no idea why anyone would still be using those- only little water comes out and it's never really warm) and it was on the ground floor - so if you have to go during the night you have to get down a steep narrow staircase half asleep. Not fun. There is another room upstairs which was locked- I guess it's the owners private bathroom? I would have LOVED to use it!" ~Isabel

"Pros: The breakfast options were fabulous. The dinners were excellent. Very fresh, simple, and tasty. The hosts were so accommodating and always wanting to help, it was very comfortable being there. The hosts also set up a birding tour with a local guide and we were able to actually see a quetzal! Cons: My only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer and we had already extended it from 3 to 4 days." ~Laurel
