"Pros: Location is in walking distance (.2 miles) from lots of nice shops and restaurants. It's clean. The parking is secure. The staff is friendly and professional. I saw that some reviewers said it looks "scary" or "dangerous." It's not. This is just what the real Costa Rica looks like. Cons: It's a budget hotel. You will get what you pay for, but if you are looking for a cheap place to stay overnight before flying out, this is your spot. Just be aware that the airport is 25 minutes away in light traffic and an hour away in heavy traffic. It's not an easy, breezy trip, but nowhere in San Jose is that." ~Laura
