La Colina Hotel

Location

Hotel La Colina is a cozy Bed & Breakfast perched on a hill overlooking Manuel Antonio Bay (The Pacific Ocean) and nestled in the rain forest, home to many tropical animals. Monkeys, sloths, toucans and iguanas are commonly seen on the property. You can lounge near the pool or watch the sunset from the restaurant while having a cool tropical cocktail. The hotel is centrally located in Manuel Antonio, just off the main road, a five minute drive to some of the most beautiful beaches of Costa Rica and World Famous Manuel Antonio National Park Many shops and restaurants are nearby. Taxi service and public transportation is easily accessible from the hotel. All rooms have full size beds, A/C, cable TV, private bathroom with hot water,in- room safe, and high speed WiFi. 1. DRIVING ON YOUR OWN From the San Jose International Airport, turn right and take the Main Highway towards San Jose. Where the freeway automatically ends, you will pass the large La Sabana Park on your right. After passing that park, at the stoplight for McDonalds you will see a store called "Universal", turn right at that first light, keeping the park on your right side again. This 2-lane road will automatically turn into the Caldera Hwy leading you towards Jaco/Quepos/Manuel Antonio areas. There are several toll booths along this road, so you will need to keep a handful of $1 bills available (or colones) in order to pay these. Continue to follow the hwy following the signs towards Jaco, then Quepos. About 3 hrs later, as you enter the town of Quepos, veer left after the one lane bridge, passing the Best Western Hotel, turn left at the large brown sign for Manuel Antonio National Park. Drive another 3 km on the curvy road towards Manuel Antonio National Park. Hotel La Colina is located on the main road, right side. 2.PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION The drive to Manuel Antonio is now an easy three hour drive thanks to the newly paved highway. There are six direct public buses that leave from the new bus station in San Jose located in the following address: From the Clinica Carit, 300 meters west and 150 meters north, Plaza Viquez. The schedule is: 6AM, 9 AM, 12 Noon, 2:30 PM, 6:00PM and 7:30PM. The ones at 6am, 9am,12noon, 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm operate every day. The one at 2:30PM operate only from Monday thru Saturday.
