"Pros: We wanted to explore this lesser visited part of Costa Rica between Bajo Toro and la fortuna. We loved our stay at Rancho Amalia. The family is so welcoming and accommodating. The cabins were very comfortable and cozy and it was so convenient having a restaurant on site. We chose a 4km ride and the views and surrounds are beautiful and worth the visit. Very peaceful countryside escape! Loved the dogs and chickens too! Cons: The only drawback was occasionally hearing trucks going to and from zarcero. Not regular sounds and no visibility of the road but occasional nonetheless" ~Ruth
