"Pros: Robin is a fantastic host - friendly, helpful and generous. I wish I had read my messages prior to arrival, as he kindly offered to pick us up from the station, but I didn't see the offer till after we had walked from the town in the pouring rain! However, he offered us a "medicinal" welcome drink, and helpfully explained how everything worked, and told us where the nearest shops were - we felt very welcomed to the Villa. We were only there for a couple of days, but enjoyed our time - the studio apartment was really well equipped (though we didn't really use the kitchen), the gardens are beautiful, and the pool was lovely. We went to the restaurant next to the shop (Bistro Top - like many other shops and restaurants in Krk is cash only) the first night - it was just what was needed - cosy and nearby! Then we took up Robin's recommendation of the Konobo Nono which was great - the restaurant makes its own olive oil and bread - superb! The food is great, but the trip back to the Villa is uphill - a good reason to have a drink on the balcony and enjoy Villa Splendissima's peace and quiet. Cons: We liked everything, but for anyone who struggles with their mobility, be aware that there are some steep inclines on the way to the apartment - however, it gets easier every time you walk!" ~Kirstie
