"Pros: Staying at Bonaca was an absolute delight. The entire house, complete with a private garden, offers a unique experience where you can pick fresh figs, tomatoes, peppers, and mandarins straight from the garden. The location right by the river made for stunning mornings and romantic evenings. The spacious balcony, equipped with a table and four chairs, was the perfect spot to unwind. The kitchen was practical, with plenty of space and all the necessary appliances. The bed was incredibly comfortable, located in a separate, spotless room. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was even a plug-in mosquito repellent provided. However, I strongly recommend using mosquito spray if you plan to spend your evenings on the balcony, as the proximity to the river attracts quite a few of them. The peaceful surroundings, away from the crowds and close to nature, made for a truly relaxing stay. The hosts were wonderful—our host even treated us to his homemade liqueur, and we had a lovely conversation about life. The location is ideal for exploring Pelješac, Dubrovnik, the mountains, and Makarska, yet it remains a tranquil and less crowded area where you can experience the authentic Croatian lifestyle. The access road is steep, but I had no trouble driving up with my VW T-Roc, even with bikes on the rack. I will definitely be returning to this special place. "Pros: It's by a busy road which eventually quietens down. Facilities are good, much appreciated the use of washing machine and secure motorcycle parking inside garage. Ground floor rooms are a good size, and the kitchenette was OK. I much appreciated the water melon and chilled bottled water. There are two good local restaurants, just have to cross and navigate along busy road. Cons: Nothing really." ~Ian
