"Pros: The room and bathroom were very spacious with a balcony directly on the pool area which is very peaceful and a great place to relax after a day‘s sightseeing. The water in the pool could have been a bit warmer. The hosts are very charming and helpful. The breakfast was great and one just needed to ask for eggs done any way you like them and they would do them. Dinners at the Konoba Kastel restaurant were excellent. I recommend the grilled pork suckling and lamb. The scampi buzara on tagliatelle are to dir for. The olive oil, white and red wine are homemade and delicious. Don’t miss the Biska grappa at the end. The restaurant is always busy, but the owners made sure that the resident guests always got a table. The location is ideal for exploring the west coast of Istria as well as the medieval villages in the north. Cons: The temperature of the water in the pool was quite cold. 21 degrees max." ~Maja
