"Pros: We arrived early hours of the morning and there was milk/juice and biscuits left in the fridge for us. There is also stair gate at the top of the stairs which is good for children but unfortunately there isn’t one going down to the basement from the front door. In the morning when we couldn’t find any parasoles or a bbq which was stated on the booking, I messaged Maria who said there were no parasols as it’s a health and safety risk and that people damage them so they have taken them away, the bbq was removed due to a bad accident. As it was very hot and it’s normal protocol to have a parasol around a pool we thought this was very disappointing and we went to the local supermarket and bought two, Maria has since refunded the money for these. Around the pool there is fake grass where the sun loungers sit which gets very hot, so you need to be careful as it will blister your feet. The tiles around the pool are also very slippy and the tiles in the kitchen are loose. When we were due to cook on the first evening we had to clean the oven and trays as they were covered in grease, there was also only one sponge and cloth to use during our two week stay. There aren’t any microwavable containers to use to store or heat up any food in the microwave. We also feel that the villa could do with some new mattresses as the beds are very uncomfortable and have springs coming through them, also no extra bedding was supplied to change on our two week holiday. There is also no ventilation in the down stairs toilet and there is a foul smell coming from the toilet or drains, we did bleach the toilet and sink often but this still didn’t shift the smell. During our stay the shower hose in the en-suite exploded due to the amount of linescale that was in the shower head it just couldn’t take it any more so the pipe burst. Maria was very responsive when we messaged her and arranged for someone to come and fix it. I would advise taking an extension lead as not much many plugs Cons: We cleaned the fridge and freezer, bathrooms, kitchen and swept throughout and cleaned the stairs, and swept everyday around the pool, we also emptied all the bins when we left. Maria then said she would ‘waive ‘ the cleaning charge as her cleaner had to go back over two days, which is quite offensive considering we left the villa cleaner than when we arrived. Overall we had a nice time at the villa, and Maria was very responsive but it does need some TLC as the photos on the booking do not reflect the villa as it is now." ~Clive

"Pros: We have just enjoyed a six week stay at the property. It was lovely and clean, fully equipped, spacious and in a good location. Picking fresh oranges and grapefruit, for breakfast, was a bonus. Jim, a neighbour, was quick to deal with any problems. Cons: Unfortunately the walls are very thin and you could hear next doors TV,  radio and dogs all day! Also the water pump ran intermittently, at night, which made for broken sleep. The electricity allowance covered our stay but we did not use any AC or TV (no English channels) so, in the summer, that needs to be factored in. Overall though, we had a great stay and would return." ~Kevin
