"Pros: The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and quiet. It was located on a quiet street and well equipped. If you’re going to rent a car (highly recommend doing so and going to Skagen), there is a Budget car rental location very close by, and they were fantastic.
Cons: When we arrived, there was a foul, offensive, very strong odour that was incredibly uncomfortable. It was coming from the inner stairwell of the building, and there was what appeared to be some sort of animal (rodent?) type of nest at the bottom of the stairs. The smell was much less strong, but definitely noticeable, in the apartment itself, too. The booking comes with the provision of a list of expectations and makes it very clear that contacting the hosts “unnecessarily” will result in a sizable additional charge. We contacted them anyhow and informed them of the stench, and were not charged for that. They said they’d send someone to check it out the next day, and it was much better after that, but the mess at the bottom of the stairs remained. I’d be unlikely to stay here again on account of this. Looks like others have had some issues here with odour as well."
