"Pros: Dominica is an undeveloped island mostly and there are a lot of wild places in the north. Kootney Resorts had all the comforts of home and was very spacious and nicely landscaped. Trisha and Kyle went out of their way to accommodate any and all requests. There were small towns near within walking distance and groceries, restaurants, beach. We had a car to explore the area trails and waterfalls. I would highly recommend their resort." ~Dee

"Pros: This place is really great...staff extremely helpful and sympathic. Ultra clean and comfortable. Located on a hill (very steep roads but this is standard in Dominica) above Picard, the southern part of Portsmouth city. View is amazing on the bay. Top WIFI and good breakfast. Small refreshing swimming pool. Cons: Not that easy to find unless you got a map. Without a car I would not much recommend as the main road where buses are stopping is a good 10 minute walk down...but probably more up due to steep roads. On this road are lots of restaurants and food shops. I was quite surprised but my room did not get TV channels despite big flat screeen. Still, the very helpful lady working that day provided me her Netflix pass so I could watch movies. Also YouTube was available for some "live" watching." ~Dwld
