"Pros: I can't say enough about our stay here. Elephantine Island is an eye-opener for those who come from cities of sidewalks and roads. This island is all dirt so be ready for that. A whole different and amazing people live on the island. Our place was great. The two hosts are so friendly, very easy to work with. They helped us with all our questions and needs. They helped book our tour to Abu Simbel. They helped us get a boat driver to the tombs across the water where after we dove and swam in the Nile. The roof gives you a grand view of the Nile and Aswan. A clean place and a great deal." ~James

"Pros: The best spot for sunset on the island!!! The Nubian breakfasts were excellent and filled you up until dinner time. No traffic, no cars. The west side of the island is away from all the noise and hassle that you get on the East bank of main Aswan. The Nubian people are all friendly without trying to extract money from you all the time. We love it here. Cons: Nothing." ~Mark

"Pros: The white house is an essential and clean accommodation. A fridge is provided, the view from the window is nice and on the quiet side of the island. The host is friendly and helpful, he helped us reach the cost early in the morning to go catch our flight. Cons: Keep in mind there is no soap in the bathroom, the structure is not complete yet but in line with the conditions of the island that is in any case very characteristic" ~Mariagiovanna
