"Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious studio room upstairs with comfy bed. Very clean and serviced well. Great pools but a bit cold in June, much colder than the sea. Nice beach outlook, shallow- not a kiwi beach. Kayaks, paddle boards great at ‘high’ tide. Cons: Rooms needed more than 2 cups and 2 glasses -some cutlery, plates, and bowls would have been very useful for snacks. You had to order your food in advance and the food was very overpriced. $ F32 for a very basic burger and small portion of chips. Elsewhere this was around $ F18. For budget travellers like us splashing out at a nice place, it was unaffordable. Luckily there is a little place down the road you can walk to with about 4 different outlets of western style food. Without a car, this is your only other option. There is also a small supermarket with only basics. Be aware Maui Palms is a long way from Nadi- about an hour and a half. We negotiated a taxi down to $F 160 (giving them the return trip as well helps)The resort will organise one for you for about $F 210." ~Paula
