"Pros: The rooms are large, spotlessly clean and very functional (well this is Germany!), with good quality furniture and an excellent shower. Breakfast was top notch with a really good choice of fresh fruit, bread (Brötchen and other types), home made jams, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, eggs etc. Much better than in many 4* hotels I’ve stayed in. The hotel staff are great and very helpful, even helping us to order a food delivery as my German is still very basic. The price is very reasonable, this must be based on the fact that there are limited options for food/drink in the evenings. Cons: Unfortunately there is now no bar on site, as the restaurant next door has closed down. Some water, small bottles of wine and cold beers were available from the fridge on an honesty basis (you have to write what you’ve taken on a pad), but there was a limited supply. Also, we were unlucky enough to stay here on a Monday evening when almost no restaurants are open in the area. The only option was a pizza delivery - this was unsuitable (way too salty) for a toddler. Also, I still can’t get used to the square German pillows!" ~Peter
