"Pros: Sublime views of the white mountains and surrounded by olive trees and picturesque hill-top villages, Villa Kalithea is in a fabulous location and has a very comfortable, if slightly, rustic feel to it. We visited Chania, Elafonisi beach, Preveli beach, Lake Kournas, Falassarna beach, and Aptera during our week-long stay which were all stunning and yet...returning to the villa each evening or even just staying by the pool all day was probably the highlight for us: the views, the fragrance of the lemon trees, the swallows diving into the pool and the outdoor seating areas (of which there are plenty) were all just perfectly stunning. Our host Dimitris was really friendly and welcoming and always keen to ensure our stay was comfortable and we were greeted with fresh juice, fruit, bread and homemade wine and olive oil, which were all delicious. On the surface, the villa itself looks modern and palatial, but on closer inspection it has a more lived-in and rustic feel to it, which we liked. Would thoroughly recommend for lovers of mountain views and quiet beauty." ~Yun
