"Pros: Great villa, perched above Arillas beach. Peaceful and private location, but just a few minutes’ walk to several restaurants, bars and shops. Arillas is a nice small town with a low-key feel. Not too overdeveloped (for now). The villa is simple and not huge but comfortable and it has a lovely big verandah with spaces for dining and lounging about. We enjoyed barbecues by the pool. Arillas beach is great - sandy and perfect for swimming. The host (George) was very responsive and helpful. Cons: We found it impossible to have a shower without flooding the bathroom… The WiFi was terrible - but the mobile phone signal is pretty good, so we just used 5g. The villa is accessed via a steep, rocky, unpaved road. That wasn’t a problem for us, but would be for anyone trying to walk it with reduced mobility, or trying to drive it in a sports car!" ~William
