"Pros: I loved my stay here, in part because I've stayed in the neighborhood before and knew what to expect. It's slightly outside tourist frenzy and maintains some Athens grit and charm, yet completely central. The apartment is fabulous, with a massive terrace I could not fully enjoy because the weather was unexpectedly wintry in late-February. I would have spent most of my time there if the temperature had gotten above 10C. Great local restaurants are nearby, as is the Central Market. Excellent entry communication with the host. Would stay again. Cons: Some might be put off by the graffiti in the area, but do not be! Athens is safe and despite first impressions, the neighborhood is great. The Acropolis is more of a glimpse than a perfect view, but the apartment itself and that heavenly terrace make up for that. Beautiful sunsets." ~Dirk
