"Pros: The apartment is great and the host, Nicos, is fantastically attentive and helpful. There is a large double bedroom, two large balconies with sea views, including a fascinating sandbank you can walk out on for miles and which attracts an interesting assortment of seagulls and egrets. a good sized lounge with sofabed , traditional fireplace and large screen TV. and, importantly, insect screens on both large windows to allow air to circulate whilst keeping the mozzies out. Recently refurbished it has all you need for a comfortable stay, including a lift to the second floor. Although on the edge of town, perhaps 1km from the centre, the bus or train station, (ok for keen walkers!) there are plenty of cheap buses and taxis available on the doorstep and immediate access to the coastal road to the north of the island, and several town beaches within a short walk.
Cons: The proximity to the road could be noisy at night if all the windows were open."

"Pros: Excellent apartment. Fully equipped with everything you might need, from cooking utensils to washing supplies, snacks, comfort food and drinks.
Decorated with great taste, with an enormous terrace on the roof.
Chris, the host, was very attentive, helping us with everything we needed. He gave us great info about the area, attractions, beaches, restaurants, being very fast responsive.
We had a great stay and we would definitely book again here if ever in Chalkida.
