"Pros: It was a really nice place with amazing hosts. The host offered us some wine, cheese, tomatoes from their garden, and some bread. They even offered us to take us to the bus stop because I was pregnant. Very friendly service. Cons: The place sits right above a highway so it can be quite difficult to rest at night with the noise. We were not expecting it to be situated uphill and we didn't have a car. Bus stop is 30 minutes walk from the place so it was very difficult for me being pregnant to walk in the heat. Luckily the day we left, the host offered us a ride to the bus stop. I wouldn't recommend unless you have a car or really like walking. Otherwise it's fine." ~Patricia

"Pros: This is such a lovely property, and Demetria was the perfect host. We had everything we needed, and plenty of space. Its location is great, only 20 mins from Irakleio and Lygaria beach. Cons: The mattress was extra soft!" ~Annabelle

"Pros: Such a beautiful quiet location. Pool is clean and inviting, it is too small to swim in but we enjoyed it nonetheless as it cooled us down during the 40° - 50° heat.  The owner clears it of debris every morning and replaced the clorine tablet when needed. The villa was clean when we arrived and has everything you need, two toilets, 1 shower, air conditioning units in the bedrooms and lounge. Clean sheets were on the bed along with fresh towels. Beds are so comfortable, I'm guessing memory foam? The sofa and the outside seats and loungers were also very comfortable. There's a washing machine in the downstairs loo so you can wash your clothes, towels and bed sheets. 1 set of extra sheets were provided so you can change them during your stay. The drying rack is outside. Cleaning products, mop and broom are also provided so you can keep the villa clean. Kitchen is well-equipped with coffee machine, coffee pot, microwave, frappe maker, sandwich toaster, fridge freezer, kettle, wide range of pots and pans, cups, plates and glasses for both indoor and outdoor use. Coffee, sugar and tea products were provided along with a welcome pack of water and a tipple of something. Views are incredible. We had such a relaxing time, a home away from home. The owners left us to up to our own devices even though they live in the building in front/below the villa. Parking is outside the main gate on the road but your car is perfectly safe. A car is needed if staying here as nothing is within walking distance and the road only leads to a few houses up the hill so is not a main thoroughfare. The villa is not wheelchair friendly, there is a steep set of about 20 stairs leading to the villa from the main gate and inside there are 8 or so more stairs which lead to the bedrooms and shower room." ~Rarai
