"Pros: The property was lovely - quiet, spacious, clean and comfortable, with a great terrace looking out towards the sea, and balconies/terraces outside each of the rooms. The beds were really comfy and the air conditioning was great. The garden and pool were fantastic - there were no guests staying in the downstairs apartments when we were there so we were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves. The pool is a good size, and the garden is nicely maintained - and home to around a dozen tortoises in one part! Stefania, the host, was great - she contacted us to arrange fresh bed linen and towels, the pool was cleaned every evening and there was also useful info about local shops and restaurants in the apartment. The apartment was located towards the edge of Karavomylos village and it's about a 5 min walk downhill to a couple of restaurants - Tou Kokora on the square was our fave - and a great breakfast place/cafe/bakery, Vito Squared, which was open all day. It was about a 25 min walk along the beach path to Sami, which has the nearest supermarket, along with shops, bars and some really good restaurants - we loved The Mermaid in particular, and Taka Taka Mam just next door to it. We didn't hire a car - in the apartment there was the number for a super helpful taxi driver, who picked us up as needed and took us to Antisamos beach and back. We absolutely loved our stay - can't wait to go back!" ~Christopher

"Pros: Wow, the villa was exceptional. The views were absolutely amazing. Lovely quiet area and the gardens were splendid. The host was very helpful and kind. The villa was immaculate and had everything you'd need for self catering. Plenty of towels, hair dryer/straighteners, washing machine, pegs and washing line, loo roll, fairy liquid, lots of pots, pans and plates, loads of outdoor seating options and some sun loungers. We asked to borrow a parasol for the beach and the host brought one round straight away. The kids loved finding geckos in the garden. Good air conditioning in all rooms to feel comfortable in the heat. Cons: I think the photos and write up on booking.com doesn't do the villa justice, it was far better than I was expecting! Perhaps a little guest book in the villa so people could share their experiences/ recommendations of where to eat or visit? We initially got a little lost finding the place, apparently it hadn't happened before but maybe best to check google maps before as internet coverage on the island can be a bit patchy." ~Nicole
