"Pros: This is a lovely, slightly older, but well maintained villa. It is clean and properly looked after, with air conditioning in every room. It has four proper bedrooms, which might not be clear from the pictures. The top balcony has a stunning view, which is much wider and nicer than what is shown in the picture; we loved dining there. The pool is impeccable and there is even a brand new barbecue in the courtyard. The location is amazing for people who want to escape the crowds. The house is tucked away in a quiet village, yet a short drive away from grocery stores, beaches, and a children's playground. Most importantly of all, the hosts are nothing short of amazing. We checked in much later than anticipated without any problems. We felt welcome and cared for and even got the fresh produce from their garden. Trust me when I say that these people have your back. They will give you their time and their heart. Cons: This property is a vacation property. If you are planning on working remotely, please note that you can rely on WiFi connection only downstairs, in the living room. But this is a common thing in the south of Europe. You are expected to come for rest and relaxation. If you want to work, think about booking your holiday elsewhere (e.g. New York :) or get yourself a SIM card with good coverage and unlimited data. The following piece of information has nothing to do with the property, but is very important. If you are planning to drive to the city of Chania, please note that finding parking in tourist season in the city center is problematic. You can choose to park away from the center and walk, or opt for a bus or taxi instead." ~Katarina

"Pros: The villa is furnished and appointed to a very high standard, our host communicated successfully by WhatsApp addressing any queries we had. The wifi and TV is modern, the washing machine works well and the gym equipment was of a high standard. There is a lot to like about this holiday stay Cons: There are a number of cats that were to our mind a pest, no food or drinks could be left unattended for long outside or doors left open. When using the bbq the cats had to be constantly repelled. During to night there were nights during our stay that dogs, presumably fighting, were extremely noisy. Fortunately the bedrooms are well sound proofed but sleeping with bedroom veranda doors open was not possible. There is probably nothing the villa can do to address either issue, perhaps a message to guests not to feed the cats might help." ~Richard
