"Pros: Absolutely everything was just spot on. The owners are incredibly friendly and the most responsive people we have ever had the pleasure to deal with. The property is accessible for people with mobility issues and although there is parking for 3 cars, we used the public transport system or taxi's both of which are very good and cheap. We were a family of 7 and found the apartments were brilliant for accommodating us all with plenty of room to spare. The villa is akin to a love Island villa with lots of spaces to relax in, there is a bbq, gym, vegetable garden, office desk area and of course the pool. George comes every 2/3 days to clean and maintain the pool to an excellent standard so we had absolutely no qualms about using it night or day as it was exceptionally clean. There are towels, adapter plugs, hairdryers in all bathrooms, ironing boards, Netflix, wifi, washing machines, clothes airers, a washing line and not forgetting little Daisy....George and Alexandra's gorgeous little puppy who if you're lucky, you will get to meet. The local shops are literally at the top of the track with a bakery, pharmacy and small supermarket for your water etc. The best supermarket to use is the one on the very short walk down to Gouves beach on the high street. It's absolutely fantastic with everything you need for your stay. While there, we ate at Knossos restaurant which has gorgeous food and Pella's on the sea front which was also fabulous with a slightly more extensive menu. We can recommend doing the pirate ship excursion in Herssonisos it's great fun and we used Orange Travel to also do a coach trip to Chania which was fantastic. We did a big shop at Lidl in Herssonisos and we used George's friend who drives a taxi to take us there and back...he is lovely and much cheaper than Uber. We left his card on the table in the Pomegranate apartment. Cons: There is nothing to not like at Gouves Garden, the hosts are amazing as are the apartments/villa." ~Sara

"Pros: The pictures of the villa do not do it justice. The villa is very spacious with everything you could possibly need and more! We travelled with a 2 year old and everything was catered for from baby gates to full size cot, lots of toys, shallow part of the pool for children, strollers, car seats. We arrived early evening and arrived to a meal cooked fresh for us all by Eva's mother (Gloria), this was not expected at all but was greatly appreciated after travelling all day. Even basics for the next morning were provided for example, bread, milk, eggs, water etc. Multiple times through the week Gloria delivered freshly cooked food for us to try. Again unexpected but greatly appreciated. The cooking facilties within the villa where fantastic every piece of equipment you could need. Outdoor seating/ pool / sun loungers, again fantastic. The amount of towels provided for both shower and pool/beach was exceptional. WiFi was extremely fast. I could not fault this villa in anyway. We had an amazing stay, would 1000% recommend to anybody and shall be returning in the future. Thank you for making our stay so special. Cons: There was no negatives at all about the villa. My only suggestion would by that 2 sets of keys are provided as 1 set is not enough for 2 x couples. However on request a key another entrance was provided." ~Adam
