"Pros: Villa Venus is a ground floor apartment adjacent to a lovely established garden and olive orchard with great views down to the beach. The apartment which isn't huge was just perfect to two people, offering a comfortable indoor seating area with modern kitchen and well appointed bathroom. The bedroom was large, with large louvered windows opening to a covered deck where we spent most of our time. Andreas our host was very accomodating, he joined us on our first night and left us well versed with things to do, see and eat in Kythira. Villa Venus is a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive down to Paleopoli beach which is a long white fine pebble beach. 5 minutes along the coast is Avlemonas Village with great food and drink options and many small swimming platforms allowing access to the harbours clear water. Kythira was the highlight of our Greece trip. The many villages, the great walking trails, the size of the island, nothing was more than 20 minutes away from Villa Venus remain in our memory.
