"Pros: Clean, spacious and comfortable. Excellent communication with hosts. We were two couples and the villa had two separate living spaces with kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms. The hosts left us a large basket of fruit and a bottle of wine and some Cretian liqueur. The owner came to clean the pool very early each morning. Pristinely clean private pool and plenty of lounge chairs. There were restaurants and a coffee shop within walking distance. A car is a must there to explore Crete. Lots to do and our three days was not enough time! Dont know the name of the restaurant, but the one with the brick oven when you get out to the main road has the best souvlaki that we had while in Greece. Sofia and her husband are the owners. "Pros: We had a wonderful time at Island Villas. There were 18 of us from 5 different families and the accommodation worked so well - everyone had their own space but could enjoy the communal pool and eating areas together. Pool is lovely, plenty of sun beds for all of us. The little town is only 5 mins walk and has some nice tavernas, a couple of supermarkets and lots of shops selling clothes, jewellery and touristy bits and bobs. The sandy beach is just a few minutes on from there. Sirmalenia, the lady who manages the property, was lovely and very helpful. Absolutely ideal property for a large group." ~Laura
