"Pros: It was wonderful. Everything. Tylisos is a small village and we adored it. It was as if we had been back in time. Whenever we went for food and drinks into the village shop, we had a nice, long chat with the owners, which we really enjoyed not just shopping but also talking to the local people. Everybody said good morning to everybody. We like peace and quiet and this nice traditional house furbished in the old style with beautiful old photos on the walls and with the garden and the serene and tranquil sorrounding with a touch of ancient atmosphere made our stay unforgettable. And of course many thanks to the kind and friendly hosts, Chrisoula and Jorgos who were always there when we needed anything.

"Pros: We thank Luxury Villa for their wonderful home. We had an unforgettable holiday with you. Everything in the house is thought out and arranged for the convenience of guests, there is a lot of dishes and cutlery. Every corner is thought out for a good rest. A wonderful and very large area with plenty of space for a large company. Large outdoor dining table in the barbecue area for a very large family and their guests. Large pool and many sun loungers. "Cons: The poorest experience I've ever had. The property sent me a cancellation message for my confirmed booking (without actually canceling it within the booking system) shortly before our arrival at 20:00 (!) local time.
My husband and I were traveling in Crete in August with our two small kids, and we were looking for accommodation for one night near the port in Heraklion, as we had a ferry early the next morning. At 10:42am on the same day, I received confirmation of my booking. I had indicated an arrival time of 20:00-21:00 so the host could be aware.
Since we were traveling and spent more time on the road than expected, I informed the host before 20:00 that we would most likely arrive at 22:00. This is when they told me that they had no capacity and that we should not come. This left us in a difficult situation, needing to find accommodation for a 4-member family at the last minute during peak season (August) in Greece.
Even as I write this review, two days after my stay at the hotel was supposed to happen, the hotel still hasn't canceled the booking within the system. This leads me to believe that I will be charged, and I will then have to spend additional time resolving this complaint with Booking.com. I do not recommend this property, as their approach is unprofessional and disrespectful.
UPDATE: To be fair, I want to add that today (four days after I was supposed to stay at the property), my reservation was cancelled. However, I still believe that the behavior was unprofessional and caused me a lot of trouble finding another accommodation at the very last minute." ~Anna
