"Pros: This property was advertised as being in the centre of Matala. However, after booking it and subsequently paying... the location on the final invoice was changed to 1.6 Kilometres outside of the village. I contacted the booking.com service line and they said, "well, just cancel it if you don't want it" and you can "book something else" This was totally impossible of course, as they knew already that there was NO other accommodation available by this time. The property admitted their mistake to me in writing, but Booking.com flatly refused any compensation or refund. Stating it was not their responsibility !! despite them being the people I booked through. I was just recovering from knee surgery at the time and 1.6kms was impossible to walk Cons: Booking.com attitude to customer service. This stay was not as described and marketed by them and they refused any liability to make good. I have used booking.com many many times and am a "genius level 2 customer". It does not take a genius to work out how upset I am" ~Lawrence

Accomodation

A 10-minute walk from the sandy beach of Matala, Armonia Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with balcony. Free beach chairs and umbrellas are available on the poolside. Armonia guest rooms are simply furnished, in typical island style. Each comes with a mini fridge, safe and also includes a seating area. Balconies overlook the surrounding green hills and the valley of Matala. A hearty breakfast buffet is served daily at the hotel, and includes fresh, organic produce from Crete. The poolside bar is open from early morning unit late in the evening. Area information and tips, as well as transfer service are provided through reception. Guests can also hire a car on site. Nearby beaches include the Red Beach at 1.6 km and Komos Beach at 2.8 km.

Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions. -Please let the property know your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking or contact the property. -If you are traveling with children, please notify the hotel of their ages. -Breakfast is served from 08:30-10:00.
