"Pros: This property was advertised as being in the centre of Matala. However, after booking it and subsequently paying... the location on the final invoice was changed to 1.6 Kilometres outside of the village. I contacted the booking.com service line and they said, "well, just cancel it if you don't want it" and you can "book something else" This was totally impossible of course, as they knew already that there was NO other accommodation available by this time. The property admitted their mistake to me in writing, but Booking.com flatly refused any compensation or refund. Stating it was not their responsibility !! despite them being the people I booked through. I was just recovering from knee surgery at the time and 1.6kms was impossible to walk
Cons: Booking.com attitude to customer service. This stay was not as described and marketed by them and they refused any liability to make good. I have used booking.com many many times and am a "genius level 2 customer". It does not take a genius to work out how upset I am"
