"Pros: Etoile Villa is a really nice house to stay for a couple of days, to relax and to discover the surrounding area. You will find a small pool, a really nice garden and a well equipped house with comfortable beds, pleasant bathrooms and a useful kitchen. To be honest, the lights in the living room could be a little cozier, but if the weather allows it, you will certainly enjoy the large terrace. Last not least, Manolis is a wonderfully hospitable and helpful host. Don’t miss to ask him for recommendations for good tavernas and restaurants in the area, his tips were really outstanding! Thank you for having us, dear Manolis, we hope to be back one day! Cons: The bay underneath the villa is sieged by an enormous hotel complex, so do not expect to find a pristine beach for swimming. But you are allowed to go to the bay, there is a nice path, and the cove is still absolutely worth to go for a swim. And there are plenty of really nice bays in the area where you will find what you are looking for. Last not least, you neither see nor hear the hotel complex from the villa." ~Kaspar

"Pros: The place is private and quiet, so you can relax and enjoy your family time. it is safe for kids and plenty of room for 4p family. Location is good, easy to drive around( must have a car) Many good beaches nearby to discover and find your own favorite one. The private pool is very conv. located to prox to the living room and outdoor seating area, so kids took max use out of the pool. Poppy gave us fresh eggs, that was super sweet. Cons: As we stayed almost a week, extra clean sheets and towels would have been appreciated. As a chiropractor i say that the pillows are uncomfortably too high and not good for your neck. Kitchen could use some more utensils, but we managed to cook everything we wanted." ~Gerly

"Pros: The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful cove and very pretty location. The gym and wellness centre was fantastic, especially the outdoor gym - really well fitted out. The breakfast buffet was really good, lots of options and fresh food. The infinity pool is really beautiful and lots of waiters around to bring drinks and food. Cons: The location means that you're quite limited to staying at the resort, which ties you in to eating and drinking there. The prices felt really high, and after a few days you feel a bit squeezed dry. The restaurant options were all unnecessarily fancy/complicated - there should be at least one place just serving more simple (and cheaper) options. We ate one night at the smartest restaurant option, "Ocean", and were really upset by quite how small the portions were - a starter of king shrimp consisted of one shrimp! It felt unnecessarily mean. The food was mostly tasty, it's just that there needs to be some cheaper/simpler alternative options. The other issue with the resort is that the infrastructure just isn't quite big enough to support the number of rooms. There are two funiculars to transport people around the steep-sided resort and these are very slow. It can take a long time for them to arrive and then deliver you to your destination. There are golf carts as an alternative and these worked most of the time, but we had to wait over 20 minutes on an occasion when we'd booked a taxi, so were 15-minutes late for the taxi. There are not enough sun beds so guests go out and claim them early in the morning. On our first day we didn't realise this and ended up spending the day perched on the end of a sofa at the bar, sharing with someone else. When we arrived we were told to book our dinner reservations in the restaurants as soon as possible - when we did this later that day, we struggled to make any reservations before 8.30 or 9.00, which is no good if you've got small children." ~Jessica
