"Pros: Nikolaus and Katherine were the best hosts ever! We were met at the property early so that we could drop off our luggage whilst the house was being cleaned after the last guests. When we arrived they had generously stocked the fridge with fruit, yogurt, eggs, ham and cheese slices and they provided essentials such as coffee, tea, oil, salt, pepper etc. We were so lucky to have found this lovely family as our hosts. On the last day our flight was cancelled and Nikolaus said not to worry, as we could come back later in the day and stay if we couldn’t get a later flight out. He even travelled to the airport to check how we were getting on. The house is a short walk to the village restaurants and shops so we did not need the car at all at night. Cons: Nothing" ~Kate

"Pros: The view is worth the stay if you are happy to adapt your self to mill lifestyle.very friendly owner and very responsive Cons: Toilet are outside the windmill and makes a bit difficult for night access especially when you travelling with young kids , the path to the mill is very dark at night at the road is not asphalt or smooth make impossible to wheal your suitcase" ~Danny

Drougas' Windmill

"Pros: Maria, the host is kind and attentive. She waited for us to arrive (10PM) to walk us through the property and facilities before handing us the keys. She filled the fridge with bottles of water, juice and homemade jams and provided homemade snacks, which were delicious and very appreciated. The view from this windmill is incomparable - the sunrise and sunset views from here are exquisite. A lot of cats wander the area and will come and hang out with you if you're sitting on the terrace. Place is cleaned daily and beds are comfortable. There's enough space to park a car if you hire one and it's a short walking distance to restaurants, shops and the popular town of Plaka. We were so happy we picked this place to stay while in Milos. Cons: Didn't realise this but the area where the Windmill is located is popular with exploring tourists. We had a couple of people forcefully trying to enter the property. We had to tell several groups of people to stop trying to come in and kept the locks down to further enforce the door but the walls around the windmill are not that high, so not always the best for privacy during the daytime. Maybe a sign on the door to say "private property: do not enter" or something similar to that effect may give your guests more assurance of safety and privacy." ~Audrey

"Pros: Tripiti is an amazing town, so close to everything but not in the center of it all. Lukianos house is a short walk down from the main road, a small adventure and worth it. We loved waking up to the incredible view. The beds were comfortable, there is AC and the house is clean. It is a very strange and traditional house, which we absolutely loved. So happy we found this gem and had the best time in Milos. The manager and her nephew personally welcomed and set us off which was much appreciated and extra special. Thank you for a great stay. Cons: There is no internet (but this did not bother us) but it may be harder for others." ~Jessica
