"Pros: I loved the old opera building and in close proximity to everything. Information on the history of it in a booklet formwouuld interesting to read. The view from the location were absolutely incredible Maria is the villa manger, was very responsive to any and all requests. The only request knocked back was that our 6ft 2 son and i wanted the couch pulled out to be a double bed but it was suggested not to worry since his feet were only slightly hanging over and it will block out floor space near sink. I didn't want to upset anyone so I didn't repeat my request. The inside jacuzzi/pool, outside pool and spa were great features! We only used inside pool due to being more private. The wine celler served no purpose for us, it should be turned into a second bedroom. Cons: Room Condition - $1000k AU per night seemed high based on all the wearing area. Very noticeable in person compared to the online booking photos. Don't get me wrong, everything was nice but quite a few things need an upkeep. Many marks on floor, furniture worn, water or liquid marks running down the walls, patch of dampness on the ceiling, all inside filters to shower, aircoair-conditioned units and pool room thick with dust and little what looks like mouldy damp spots here and there. Noise at night - The inside jacuzzi/ pool was very noisy for us at night so sleep was difficult. So we purchased earplus to try and block out noise but to no avail. Unfortunately one of our suitcases had three wheel with rubber broken and removed due to the bag men rolling them down a 200 metre couble pathway and couble steps. Maria spoke to the man who handled our casecases to be a little more gentle with cases when we leave.👍 Resticted Privacy- I had no idea almost every person coming off the cruise ships walk straight past our place and can see you swimming, on the deck chairs, eating breakfast etc. As night dalls ensure your curtains are closed as everyone can see right through to your bed. A random tour guide stops daily outside the street front door talking about the history of the Opera Mansion to around 10-15 ar tourists and they look over to view us sitting there 🥴 Breakfast was placed outdoors on third floor. We ate in our dressing gown whilst crowds of people were looking and pointing. So if you like privacy maybe this is not the best choice. I rented this place based on all the positive feedback through trip advisor and photos provided on booking.com. Upon my rexent return home, i noticed they were in fact old reviews prior to 2022 when Opera Mansion was run by property manager Valentino." ~Louise
