"Pros: Amanda is a pleasant house located on a big terrain (about 1500 m2) on a slope. The house is well constructed and has a high roof (inside is wood). It has a big, pleasant garden with different terraces, many different trees, plants and flowers. The place is very quiet as it is about 150 metres from the road on a slope. You can sit outside and enjoy the view over the sea and the singing birds. The house is about 10 minutes walking to a small, shallow beach. One can also walk one kilometre over a larger beach towards the real good restaurant on Glyfada Beach. There are some possibilities to hike inland over small country roads. The host/owner is very friendly. Cons: The nearest shops are in Gytheio, about 7 km. away from Amanda. If you are not coming by car it is best to do shopping first and then take a taxi to Amanda. There is only one restaurant around, on Glyfada Beach - two other restaurants appear to be closed (at this time of the year (May) or permanently?)" ~Hubertus

"Pros: The price was very reasonable and the host was very friendly. Cons: The property is situated in a secluded area, accessed via a challenging country road obstructed by olive tree branches and uneven surfaces marked with concrete-filled potholes. Inside, the two-bedroom apartment relies solely on a single air conditioning unit located in the kitchen, which struggled to adequately cool the entire space. Additionally, we encountered significant issues with water pressure, exacerbated by what we were informed was a municipal supply limitation. Regrettably, the unit lacked a water tank and pump to mitigate these issues, resulting in extremely low water pressure that made showering unpleasant. Furthermore, beds and pillows were really hard and uncomfortable. Overall, our stay was marred by these three key disappointments: the difficult road access, insufficient air conditioning (just 1 unit), and weak water pressure." ~Jason
