"Pros: Villa is based in Stalos which is right on the edge of where three resorts begin. As a result the villa itself was pretty quiet, and being up the hill got a lovely breeze. But then it's only 10 mins walk down the hill to shops, restaurants and the beach. If you head left it gets gradually busier as you get into Agia Marina and then Platanias. We had a car so easy to get into Chania or drive to the local attractions, but we saw loads of buses on the main road if you are using public transport. Beaches were great, sea was warm, plenty of bars and places to eat.
The owner Nondas and the cleaner Diana were both really helpful and quick to respond to any questions or problems.
The villa is more than big enough for 2 adults and two teenagers (there are 3 double rooms so could easily fit 6). There was everything you need in the kitchen, plus a BBQ outside, separate aircon in each bedroom and in the main living area. There was a dishwasher, washing machine, and they'd left cleaning pods for both. Pool was great, loads of sun loungers, and as the sun moved round there was always somewhere whether you wanted sun or shade.
