"Pros: The owners Eleni and Dim are wonderful and offered hospitality beyond expectations. The meal they cooked for us was amazing. The villa and outside area are even better than the photos, completely private and very well equipped. We all loved the basketball hoop above the pool! So much fun had with it. WiFi is reasonable both in and outside the villa.
The main villa has three double bedrooms, one of which has a mezzanine with an extra single bed. It's worth noting that one of the bedrooms is next to the living area, with one wall being half height then a curtain for privacy. Our teen girls made it work but not complete privacy if three couples were sharing.
There are two apartments built under and alongside the main villa, which are not rented out if you rent the main villa but can be included for bigger groups.
There is a minimarket, pharmacy, supermarket (well priced), petrol station and butchers all 5 mins walk or less. The village has three tavernas within walking distance, serving traditional Greek and Cretan food. We tried two of them and the meals were delicious.
20 minutes taxi transfer (minivan) from the airport cost us around €70 return.
We recommend Kriti Allios (Minoan Fruits) guided tour (find online/TripAdvisor). It's a 25 min walk from the villa and a most enjoyable few hours.

"Pros: This apartment really is a dream. Breathtaking view over Heraklion and the sea from the fairytale garden, especially at sunset. Spacious rooms, comfortable, clean, decorated with such good taste. Private parking with electric gate. The owners, Kate and Kostis, are truly extraordinary people, we never felt more welcomed than here. There wasn’t one single thing that we thought we needed that they hadn’t already thought about. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely come back."
