"Pros: Big villa with lots of space for 6 of us inside and out. Great outside space with sunny and shady spots at all times of day. The sun loungers were comfortable, with good parasols, plus other seats by the pool. The pool is a good size and was always clean. The aspect of the garden means it gets a nice gentle breeze which was lovely in August. Lovely views and in a quiet location. Very good taverna and bar within walking distance. A few beaches within a 10 min drive. Good location for exploring lots of the island. Easy to find as long as long as you ignore Google trying to send you down the track from the north- you have to approach from the south end of the track. There's signs in the village pointing out where to go. Cons: There were a few tired, slightly scruffy parts in the house. A couple of kitchen cupboard doors were a bit wonky, oven tricky to use as the numbers and symbols have worn off, no bedside tables in 1 of the bedrooms for example. The beds weren't the most comfortable I've ever had. But these weren't major things and the positives outweighed any negatives. We had a great week." ~Debi

"Pros: Sometimes the best holiday memories are of the country , or the place you stayed or the people you met . With Corfu , Riza Stone Cottage & the lovely Vassos , we had the benefit of all three . We cannot possibly improve on the previous marvellous reviews except to say that they were all justified . A few practical tips ; Check with Vassos about car hire , taxis and excursions before you go on line . You will not go wrong . Turn right out of the drive & walk 10 mins to Linda's ( from Halifax ) supermarket and then right again to walk uphill for 5 mins to Spiros 97 taverna ( ask to sit upstairs ) . Turn left out of the drive & walk 5 mins to the green line bus stop for the bus from Ermones to Corfu town . 2 euros & 30 mins Finally . Thank you Vassos for being the warm , kind person that you are . We were sorry to leave and when we left , it felt like saying goodbye to a dear friend . Wade & Anita" ~Wade
