"Pros: Xylokastro is ideal as a sea destination. The place where the apartment is located is perfect, very close to a nice beach, to supermarket and in walking distance to the center. There is a beautiful sea view. The apartment was shining clean and a lot of towels were available for use. The balcony is perfect to have dinner outside and enjoy the view of the sea. Beds comfortable and also very clean. It was very nice to have the decorations made from the daughter of the owners in the house. It made us feel very cozy. Cons: When we arrived, we did not really manage to find the apartment quickly. I guess giving the exact address, including the number of house (if I remember correctly it is 3A) would really help the guests to find it. Another issue we had was the fact that the fridge was smelling really bad. I guess this was due to the water that stayed inside the freezer (unfrozen ice) and also to the fact that fridge was left closed and turned off. We managed by using lemon skin to parfum it and removing the defrosted ice and out the plastic to make the ice cubes away. It was still a bit stinky though. Last little hassle was the fact that we had only a set of keys and we were two adults, so we had to stick together or arrange ourselves to pass each other the keys when we wanted to do different activities. It would be ideal to have another set so that people can be independent." ~Alberto
