"Pros: The location is very near to the ferry terminal and Megamall. U can just take a 5 minutes walk to both locations, although the shortcut walk is through dark and dingy carpark. The complimentary tea n coffee are so-so. The 2 bedrooms are comfortable enough and the shower pressure is quite strong. The view during sunrise and breakfast is good. Although it was advertised with 2 bedrooms, the living cum dining area spaces is quite small for 3 adults and 1 child. Cons: When we booked this unit through booking.com, we thought it was a hotel. But actually, it's like airbnb. When we wanted to check-in, I had to contact the property owner via WhatsApp. If we wanted airbnb, we could have booked through that app. So it's quite misleading when this unit was advertised in booking.com. Check-in time was very late at 1500hr and check-out was 1100 hr the next day. They didn't even allow for late check out. Television wasn't even working. Owner expected us to fiddle with the TV. "Pros: Nice, small, modern apartment next door to the Ferry terminal, so very convenient location. Lovely views across Batam. Nice on-site restaurant and swimming pool/gym facilities. Good and fast communication with host. Cons: Bathroom could be a lot cleaner. Even when we asked twice, they cleaned it but there was still grime around the floor shower edge, bottom of the shower walls, and around the basin tap. Quite a simple clean could make a big difference. Would be good to have a few more things in the kitchen - tea towel for drying dishes and cloths to wipe down the table and bench. And two more bowls as they only have two... So as a family of 4 we took turns at eating!" ~Elly

"Pros: Good security, location is very near to Batam center for ferry departure and also quite nearby to Grand Mall Batam for food and grocery. The staff at One Residence are very friendly, seem to be taking their tasks seriously, and accommodating. Wifi connection and entertainment options available were good. Cons: Too many registration requirements upon checking in, being the place is not a legitimate hotel. Pedestrian walk nearby is not great but this is Batam. The apartment has no stove or microwave to heat any food. The electric kettle was half spoiled, it did not auto switch off when the water was boiled, which could be dangerous if you missed it. Cleanliness needs to be improved - the toilet does not seem to have been scrubbed for not sure how long. Dishwashing sponge and soap... I'm not sure if I'll use them. My hands got oily after using it. The apartment facility is good, but I wish they have up their game in cleanliness." ~Yui
