"Pros: Location was perfect. Road leading up to the property and away from main road. Lovely picturesque view surrounding the property. Very spacious as we were a group of 7 adults so everyone was happy with their rooms, bathrooms and lounge area to chill. Lovely well stocked kitchen too. The owner was very welcoming and showed us around the property when we arrived. Owner's dog stayed close by during our stay which was nice. We were attending a family wedding at The Cabra Castle Hotel so it was very convenient for us. It was nice to have the space to unwind after the wedding. We had a really nice stay and would highly recommend it. Definitely would like to come back some day and explore the surrounding areas.
Cons: One drawback was the showers downstairs didn't have hot water so we shared the upstairs ensuite shower between us." ~Miriam
"Pros: Lovely little cosy cottage with lots of character. Plenty of hot water and heating too though it was quite warm enough and we did not need to use the heating. The walls were super thick and retained the warmth.
Cons: The lighting was poor. This did add to the atmosphere but was a draw-back when reading or working the phone/lap top." ~Jennifer
"Pros: The homeowners were teffific and welcoming. I'm Irish so I've stayed in B&B my whole life.
I stayed in the room in the top RHcorner and its photo is featured. The room was large and the bed was lovely and soft. I'm used to a harder mattress but this was a welcome change. The TV worked and there were coffee / tea facilities.
The weekend was unseasonably cold and unexpectedly, I was obliged to use the electric blanket
The bathroom is shared between 3 rooms but that worked out fine for me. Its an amazing bathroom and the shower was better than usual. When I used to travel with my elderly mother, she would find en-suite bathrooms pokie and difficult tl get into. This was very accessable.
The hosts have a number of charming cats and I enjoyed.
the breakfast was lovely - great quality blackpudding etc
Cons: nothing - everything worked for me" ~Siobhan
