"Pros: Great location fir exploring gvthe peninsulas of west cork. The lodge was warm, comfortable with a lovely bed. Paul provided welcome treats, milk, water, cakes and Easter eggs! Cons: The lodge was a bit run down and quite damp. Needed updating inside and out. The garden and path to the lodge was a little overgrown." ~Linda

"Pros: i think we stayed in a different house to the other reviews! House was big, spacious and clean and in a good location to explore West Cork. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all clean and comfy and host left out nice table settings. But a lot of it felt tired. Kitchen is well stocked but much of it is in a poor state, the appliances are all old the markings have worn off so its hard to cook, you have to guess the settings. Dishwasher drawer was broken. Kitchen hot tap didn't work at all during our stay, we mentioned it to host but he was unable to come and fix it or get a plumber. We didn't meet him during our stay. Garden room is severely fire damaged, would not want to use the wood burner in there. Overall, felt like 10 years ago it was stunning but needs some attention. We enjoyed our stay, but for 350 euros/night its a bit shabby" ~Ian

"Pros: Everything. The location was super. Close to the village of Durrus - shop, restaurant, few pubs. Tillys cottage is very comfortable with all essentials and much more. A hamper of food on the table provided a very warm welcome after a long journey. Fresh soda bread, milk, salmon and lots of treats awaited us.... exceptional stay. Cons: Absolutely nothing. Perfect experience from start to finish. Loved it !" ~Elizabeth
