"Pros: The instructions for accessing the property received from our hostess were clear and precise. The property is a spacious semi-basement one bedroom apartment in a quiet residential area. The good-sized kitchen-diner-sitting room is well-equipped and comfortably furnished. Parking is at the end of the drive and there is a leafy patio area in front of the apartment, perfect for an 'apero' (a mosquito coil can be useful in the evening). There is a mini-market only five to ten minutes drive away." ~Philip
"Pros: Beautiful location in the hills of Castiglioncello surrounded by olive groves and fresh fig trees. The walk to town/ the beach was about 15 minutes but worth it for staying in more of a relaxing area. Such a beautiful town with so much to do and doesn't feel touristy at all. We really had the chance to immerse ourselves right into the lifestyle of the Tuscan coast.
Antonio gave us such great recommendations for restaurants and activities for the day. We really loved dinner at Il Cardellino our first night and going to the beach at La Baracchina.
Overall, 100% worth visiting Castiglioncello and staying here as opposed to a larger, more over-done place like Cinque Terre. We will be staying here again!
Cons: Everything was amazing. The groundskeeper did not speak much English, but we were able to get in touch directly with Antonio for any remaining questions we had!" ~G
